SPECIAL TALK ON ‘CLIMATE CHANGE & ITS POLICY IMPLICATIONS IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT’ FOR THE 17TH MINDEF EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EDP)
Thursday, 13 October 2022 – The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS) hosted the fifth iteration of the Special Talk for the 17th Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) Executive Development Program (EDP) for senior government officials this afternoon. The programme had the privilege of hosting representatives from the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat (BCCS), with Mr Ahmad Zaiemaddien bin Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi, Head of BCCS at the Prime Ministers’ Office, heading the delegation.

The programme had the privilege of hosting representatives from the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), with Mr Abdurrahman Abdul Aziz, Assistant CEO at BEDB heading the delegation.

SHHBIDSS DELIVERS LECTURES FOR INTERMEDIATE STAFF COURSE (ISC) 22 / 2022
Wednesday, 28 September 2022 – The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS) delivered a series of lectures at the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Tanah Jambu today as part of the Intermediate Staff Course (ISC) 22/2022. Officers from the Institute were invited to present on topics related to challenges in contemporary international security, specifically pertaining to ethnic conflicts, terrorism, health security, as well as cyber security.
