TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 17 July 2024 - Research Officer of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS), Hajah Siti Diana binti Haji Othman delivered a briefing titled 'Regional Security Outlook' during visit by the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College (MAFDC) to the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) this morning.
During the briefing, Hajah Siti Diana presented insights from an academic and Track II perspective on the region's security landscape, to a delegation of 85 officers from the MAFDC led by First Admiral Haji Shahriman bin Haji Mahmud, Commandant of the MAFDC. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin was also in attendance and provided closing remarks.
Representatives from the Directorate of Intelligence, the Directorate of Defence Policy, Joint Force Headquarters, and the DA RBAF also gave briefings to the delegation. The objectives of the briefs were to share knowledge and insights on the strategic outlook, policies and organisational structure of the MINDEF and the RBAF. After all briefings were delivered, all the representatives conducted a question and answer (Q&A) session.
The MAFDC is in Brunei Darussalam for two days from 16 to 17 July 2024, as part of their MAFDC Course serial 44/2024 on In-Country Field Studies (ICFS) to Borneo.
TAKLIMAT SHHBIDSS SEMASA LAWATAN ROMBONGAN MAKTAB PERTAHANAN ANGKATAN TENTERA MALAYSIA KE AKADEMI PERTAHANAN ABDB
TANAH JAMBU, Rabu, 17 Julai 2024 - Pegawai Penyelidik Institut Pengajian Pertahanan dan Strategik Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (IPPSSHHB), Hajah Siti Diana binti Haji Othman, telah menyampaikan taklimat bertajuk 'Regional Security Outlook' semasa lawatan rombongan Maktab Pertahanan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (MPAT) ke Akademi Pertahanan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (AP ABDB) pada pagi ini.
Dalam peyampaian taklimat tersebut, Hajah Siti Diana berkongsi pandangan dari perspektif akademik dan Trek II mengenai landskap keselamatan serantau, kepada rombongan MPAT seramai 85 orang, diketuai oleh Laksamana Pertama Haji Shahriman bin Haji Mahmud, Komandan MPAT. Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Brigedier Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, turut hadir di lawatan tersebut dan memberi ucapan penutup.
Wakil-wakil dari Jabatanarah Perisikan, Jabatanarah Dasar Pertahanan, Markas Angkatan Bersama, dan DA ABDB, juga menyampaikan taklimat masing-masing kepada rombongan. Objektif taklimat-taklimat tersebut adalah untuk berkongsi pengetahuan serta pandangan mengenai strategic outlook, dasar serta struktur organisasi Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB. Sesi soal dan jawab telah diadakan oleh wakil-wakil setelah taklimat masing-masing disampaikan.
Lawatan rombongan MPAT ke Brunei Darussalam selama dua hari, dari 16 hingga 17 Julai 2024, merupakan sebahagian daripada keperluan kursus sesi 44/2024 iaitu In-Country Field Studies (ICFS) to Borneo.
