Thursday, 24 February 2022 - Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS) hosted the inaugural of Brunei Strategic Think Tanks Networking Event (STTANET) at SHHBIDSS's Executive Smart Room.

The event aimed at providing a platform for discussion and information sharing for think tanks in Brunei Darussalam. The new found network would pave the way for establishing links and potential collaboration amongst the community of researchers in the wider field of national policy and strategic studies. The event was joined by representatives from three identified institutions namely Brunei Darussalam Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (BDIPSS) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), University Brunei Darussalam and the Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS).

Delegates exchange views on respective roles and responsibilities. Through this introductory agenda, it allows participants to grasp each other's undertakings in research excellence in their respective fields. The event also discussed on strategic issues affecting the country and how each think tank formulate their deliverables and support policy makers. In the end, there reach a general consensus in appreciating STTANET and look forward for practical collaboration.

Penganjuran Acara STTANET

Khamis, 24 Februari 2022 - Institut Pengajian Pertahanan dan Strategik Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (IPPSHHB) hari ini telah menganjurkan 'Brunei Strategic Think Tanks Inaugural Networking Events (STTANET)', di Bilik Eksekutif Pintar, IPPSSHHB.

Objektif acara ini adalah untuk menyediakan platform bagi institusi – institusi di Brunei Darussalam untuk berbincang dan bersama-sama berkongsi maklumat. Acara yang julung kali diadakan ini disertai oleh wakil-wakil daripada tiga institusi iaitu daripada Brunei Darussalam Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kementerian Hal Ehwal Luar Negeri (BDIPSS), Institute of Policy Studies, University Brunei Darussalam (IPS) dan Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS).

Wakil-wakil delegasi turut bertukar-tukar pandangan tentang peranan dan tanggungjawab masing-masing. Melalui sesi pengenalan ini, para delegasi akan dapat lebih memahami bidang tugas masing-masing. Kemudian, acara ini turut membincangkan isu-isu strategik yang memberi kesan kepada negara dan bagaimana setiap institusi membentuk hasil penyelidikan masing-masing seterusnya memberikan sokongan kepada pembuat dasar. Acara berakhir dengan penghargaan dari wakil-wakil delegasi terhadap penganjuran STTANET dan berharap akan jalinan kerjasama yang praktikal di masa akan datang.
