Wednesday, 26 July 2023 – Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, has consented to present Brunei Darussalam State Honorary Decorations to 54 recipients consisting of civilian and military officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence during an Investiture Ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty's 77th birthday celebrations.
Also present at the Investiture Ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness 920 Major (Udara) Prince 'Abdul Mateen and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah. The event took place at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman.
Acting Director at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Kamis was awarded Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia Darjah Keempat (P.S.B.). The state decoration was awarded to non-military personnel as a recognition for faithful, loyal, distinguished, and devoted service made by the officer throughout his services in the government.
