SHHBIDSS PARTICIPATION TO CANBERRA FELLOWSHIPS PROGRAM TO AUSTRALIA

CANBERRA, Saturday, 3 February 2024 – Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS)'s Research Officer's, Siti Nurnabilah Haji Abdul Rahman, along with 5 other government officials from the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat and Department of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office as well as Ministry of Finance and Economy, took part in Canberra Fellowships Program (CFP) to Australia.




With the theme of climate change and energy, the 8-day programme hosted by Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) include visits and engagements with government agencies, private sectors, as well as think tanks such as Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), Australian Capital Territory Government, Low Emission Technology Australia, Solar Victoria, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, Centre for Policy Development, Victorian Clean Tech Cluster, CO2CRC, CSIRO, La Trobe Valley Authority (LVA) and Latrobe Valley Community Transition.




Through the programme, delegates were given opportunity to gain insights and perspectives on Australia's initiatives in addressing climate change issues from various levels. At the same time, this programme also fosters long-term relations between Brunei Darussalam and Australia though people-to-people relations in the aspects of climate change and energy transition.

The Canberra Fellowship Program (CFP) was established in 2018 by Australian Government to bring high-calibre emerging leaders from the Indo-Pacific region to Australia. This prestigious program aims to provide tailored visits that will give outsiders a better understanding of Australia's expertise, interests and perspectives.


 



PENYERTAAN IPPSSHHB DALAM CANBERRA FELLOWHSIPS PROGRAM (CFP) KE AUSTRALIA


CANBERRA, Sabtu, 3 Februari 2024 – Institut Pengajian Pertahanan dan Strategik Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (IPPSSHHB), Siti Nurnabilah Haji Abdul Rahman, Pegawai Penyelidik IPPSSHHB bersama 5 lagi pegawai kerajaan dari Sekretariat Perubahan Iklim Brunei (BCCS) dan Jabatan Tenaga di Pejabat Perdana Menteri serta Kementerian Kewangan dan Ekonomi (MOFE), telah menyertai Canberra Fellowships Program (CFP) ke Australia.

Dengan tema perubahan iklim dan tenaga, program selama 8 hari yang dianjurkan oleh Jabatan Hal Ehwal Luar Negeri dan Perdagangan Australia (DFAT) itu adalah termasuk lawatan kerja dan sesi perbincangan dengan agensi kerajaan, sector swasta, serta badan pemikir seperti Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), Australian Capital Territory Government, Low Emission Technology Australia, Solar Victoria, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, Centre for Policy Development, Victorian Clean Tech Cluster, CO2CRC, CSIRO, La Trobe Valley Authority (LVA) and Latrobe Valley Community Transition.

Melalui program tersebut, delegasi diberikan peluang untuk memperolehi pemahaman tinggi dan perspektif mengenai inisiatif Australia dalam menangani isu perubahan iklim dari pelbagai peringkat. Pada masa yang sama, program ini juga memupuk hubungan di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Australia melalui hubungan people-to-people dalam aspek perubahan iklim dan peralihan tenaga.

Program Canberra Fellowships (CFP) telah ditubuhkan pada tahun 2018 oleh Kerajaan Australia untuk menampilkan pemimpin-pemimpin baru yang berkaliber tinggi dari rantau Indo-Pasifik ke Australia. Program berprestij ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan lawatan bersesuaian bagi memberikan kefahaman yang lebih baik tentang kemahiran, minat dan perpekstif negara Australia kepada orang luar.​
